You Think That Ageing Is A Downhill Slide?

It can be—but aging can surprise you. It can be expansive, full of joy, growth, and possibilities you never expected.

Counseling With Kat

Aging can be breathtaking. Messy. Sometimes it kicks your ass.

And other times, it whispers—nudging you to go deeper, to live freer, and to meet yourself with love.

With over 30 years of counseling experience, I help individuals and couples navigate the challenges—and the possibilities—of later life. We  begin with whatever brought you here, using it as a doorway into healing and a life that feels true to you. From there, you might:

  • Navigate your life’s transitions with openness, resilience, and compassion.
  • Reframe your past to uncover insights that bring clarity and freedom in the present.
  • Deepen intimacy and connection in the relationships that matter—including the one you have with yourself.
  • Befriend impermanence, limitations, illness, and grief as unexpected mentors and companions.
  • Rediscover curiosity, play, and joy—cultivating the wisdom that can come with age.
  • Soak in life’s awe-inspiring beauty, inviting your inner freedom and wonder to flourish.

I was excited and a little nervous. But Kat, you’re so down-to-earth and easy to talk to, I was immediately comfortable. And the sessions were so helpful. I’m feeling such a strong sense of self.

Old crap fell away, and I have practical information to help me move forward in my business and my life. Thank you!

FAQs

This isn’t about fixing you. You don’t need fixing.

It’s about making space—for grief, laughter, resilience, and the miracle of being alive right now.

If you’re ready to shed limiting beliefs, embrace change, and find joy in the life you’re living, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Contact
  • What do you help with?

I work with people navigating all kinds of life changes—grief, health issues, shifting roles, retirement—or simply a longing to live more fully. Whatever brings you here, we’ll focus on what matters most to you.

  • How long are sessions and what do they cost?

Sessions are 60 minutes and cost $200.

  • Do I have to come every week?

Often it helps to start weekly, then we can move to every other week—or a rhythm that feels right for you.

  • How long will I need counseling?

That’s different for everyone. Some people come for a short time around a transition; others choose ongoing support for deeper change.

  • Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. I offer secure, private virtual sessions so you can connect from wherever you are.

  • Can simply believing age stereotypes damage your health and happiness?

Yes. Studies show they don’t just shape attitudes—they act like self-fulfilling prophecies, lowering life satisfaction and harming health.

  • Do I need a big problem to come?

Not at all. Many people come simply wanting support, clarity, or a safe place to sort things out. You don’t need a crisis to benefit.

  • What can I expect?

A space that feels safe and compassionate, where you’re truly heard. I bring honesty, humor, and insight—sometimes homework, along with tools you can keep using long after our work together. We’ll explore both the hard stuff and the possibilities waiting beneath it.
