What would aging be like
without your idea of aging?

Welcome !
I’m Kat, an Aging Enthusiast, Wonderment Catalyst, and pro-aging activist—titles I hesitated to claim, until cohorts said firmly and with laughter, “Kat, this is who you are.”
Aging isn’t something to survive,
it’s a path to inner freedom, joy, and self-love.
I hold an MA in Spiritual Psychology and have spent over three decades as a counselor, teacher, and speaker. I’m a TEDx presenter, keynote speaker, and co-creator of Older:
A Renewable Life, a card game that sparks real, sometimes messy, conversations about aging.
The Turning Point
Photographing hibiscus flowers, I saw every stage – bud, bloom, withering, dust – was astonishing. That moment really really upended my life, (I thought I was making space for art and more free time in my life). I fell in love with impermanence. The thing we’re taught to fear? I came to see it as life’s elegant design, somehow opening doors to awe, belonging, and authenticity.
My philosophy
Ageism is bullshit. I’ve lost most of my family to Alzheimer’s, so I know aging will bring grief, but it can also deepen love, compassion, and awe. I’ve learned that decline isn’t just loss, it brings the goodies, doorways to freedom, connection, and joy. Aging is a gift. Too often left unopened.
When I’m not writing, reading research, or speaking, you’ll find me photographing hibiscus flowers, sipping tequila on the rocks, laughing with friends, or watching sunsets and sunrises, reconnecting with the world.
